Liverpool have finally won a Premier League game away from home after Mohamed Salah's first-half double proved enough for the Reds to beat Tottenham 2-1 on Sunday.

Salah gave Liverpool the lead with a clinical finish after 11 minutes and added another later in the half following a bad mistake from Tottenham defender Eric Dier, who headed the ball into his path.

Between those two goals, Spurs thought they should have had a penalty for a Trent Alexander-Arnold push on Ryan Sessegnon and Antonio Conte's side also hit the post following an Ivan Perisic header.

Tottenham were much better in the second half and created a number of chances early on, with Perisic crashing another shot against the woodwork.

Spurs eventually found a lifeline as substitute Dejan Kulusevski – returning after a lengthy layoff – set up Harry Kane and the England striker beat Alisson with an fine finish from a difficult angle.

The home side pushed for a leveller late on, but Liverpool held out for their first away win of the campaign.

Jurgen Klopp's side climb to eighth, while Spurs stay fourth despite the defeat.
